General Scholarships

Service Agreements and Loan Forgiveness Programs

These programs require years of service in exchange for scholarship funding or loan forgiveness.

  • Health Professions Scholarship Program for Armed Forces (HPSP)
    • The HPSP awards scholarships to students in return for a commitment to provide health care services for the military upon graduation. Application is open all year round, but it is generally best to apply during the Fall before attending school. Each branch has different criteria for application and awards.   • Indian Health Service Scholarship Program (IHS-SP)  (https://www.ihs.gov/scholarship/)
    • Qualified American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate students may find financial aid assistance through the IHS Health Professions Scholarship. Recipients must be enrolled in an eligible health profession degree program and be members of federally recognized Tribes or Villages. Upon completion of their academic or post-graduate clinical training, scholarship recipients agree to fulfill a service commitment in full-time clinical practice.
