Health Assessment

Introduces basic concepts of health history and physical examination techniques for patients across the lifespan. Emphasizes normal developmental changes as well as deviations from normal. Introduces age-related changes and assessment instruments. Explores physical, psychosocial, cultural, and nutritional dimensions related to assessment. This course serves as validation for prior nursing education for the RN-BSN student. A challenge exam is available for RN-BSN students with the approval of the Dean of Nursing. Two credit hours theory, one credit hour lab. Prerequisite: BIO 301, PreRequisite/Co-Requisite PSY 301.
