Transfers from First Year of College

 

If you have graduated from high school and have 1-29 hours of college credit, Baptist University strongly recommends that you apply for admission as early in your college career as possible and complete your prerequisites at Baptist University.  

 

Although admission to the college does not guarantee acceptance/selection to a professional program/major, priority for acceptance/selection is given to freshmen and current Baptist University students.

The criteria for admission to the college for a college freshman (1-29 hours) are:

  • Submit an application for admission.
  • Submit, at the time of application, your high school transcript from an accredited high school that shows the most recent high school GPA and all courses taken. Send a final transcript after graduation. As a high school student, you must complete four years of English, two years of math, and two years of science with at least a C average.
  • Submit transcripts from all colleges /attended with a minimum 2.70 GPA in college-level classes.
  • Submit ACT/SAT scores and high school grade point average (GPA) that meet the minimum following scale.

COLLEGE TRANSFERS

The criteria for admission to the college for a college transfer (30 or more hours) are listed below. Although admission to the college does not guarantee acceptance/selection to the professional program/major, priority for acceptance/selection to the professional major is given to current Baptist University students. As such, we strongly recommend that you apply for admission as early in your college career as possible and complete your prerequisites at Baptist University. The criteria for admission to Baptist University as a college transfer are:

  • Submit an application for admission.
  • Submit transcripts from all colleges attended. Your course work will be evaluated for transfer credit and will be mailed to you at the time you meet admissions criteria.
  • Earn a minimum 2.70 GPA in all college-level work.

Completion Programs

The GPA requirement for students interested in our completion programs is listed below.

  • Earn a minimum 2.5 GPA in all college-level work

The following programs are considered completion programs:

Applicants with a General Education Diploma (GED) will complete the admission process as a transfer student with 30 or more hours of college level credit.
