Medical Language/Acad Prep for Nurs

This Level 1 course focuses on the principles of medical word building to develop the necessary medical vocabulary used in health care settings. Students will study, analyze, and interpret root words, prefixes, and suffixes with an emphasis on pronouncing, spelling, and defining, accepted medical terms. Prerequisite/Corequisite: NSG 311, NSG 313.
