Physician Core Competencies IV

Continued development of the Professionalism, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, and Systems-Based Practice Competencies. This semester will include an introduction to public health, health systems, and medical jurisprudence. There will also be a review of interpersonal violence with an associated service-learning project. Learners will hear from patient panels about living with chronic disease and interacting with health care. The course will conclude with a review of high yield COMLEX 1 concepts in the areas of professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills, and system-based practice.
