Population Hlt, Practice and Tech

This is a Level 2 course in the DNP program and examines approaches to health care delivery that address the needs of various populations with a focus on prevention, quality of health care, diversity and patient safety. Information systems applied to nursing and healthcare are integrated. Evaluation of care delivery models using concepts related to community, environmental and occupational health, as well as cultural and socioeconomic dimensions of care are examined. The advanced practice student has the opportunity to incorporate strategies that support sensitivity to diverse organizational cultures and populations using a case-based approach.
