Primary Care Adult-Gerontology I

This is a Level 2 course in the DNP program and the first of two advanced nursing science theoretical courses for the preparation of the adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner. This course focuses on the adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner’s independent and inter-professional contributions to provide adult primary care services across the continuum of care from wellness to illness, including preventive, chronic, and acute care. Assessment, differential diagnosis and management of the young adult, adult, and older adult population experiencing primary illness or injury are examined.
