Student Chapter of American Chemical Society Recognized

The American Chemical Society selected the student chapter at Baptist College to receive a Commendable award for its activities conducted during the 2016-2017 academic year. Additionally, Dr. Charity Brannen, faculty advisor of the chapter, received a special commendation. In her congratulatory letter, Dr. Allison Campbell, president of the ACS, recognized Dr. Brannen’s contributions: “Few faculty members are willing to make the great commitment of time and energy that a successful chapter requires. Professor Brannen’s efforts certainly represent the best in undergraduate science education and mentoring around the country.”
