Scholarship Luncheon students with donors

On October 16th, over 360 people attended our annual scholarship luncheon recognizing the scholarship recipients, their families and donors. A total of 210 awards in the amount of $738,050 was given for the current academic year. Alumnae, Ms. Donna Mars, chair and associate professor of Nuclear Medicine Technology, opened the event with a beautiful prayer of thanksgiving. The program included three student speakers who spoke about their journey to Baptist College and their gratitude for the support and encouragement demonstrated through the generosity of the donors. Ms. Mary Cole, graduate of the 1968 nursing class, spoke about her journey after nursing school, the importance of giving back and the many reasons why she remains dedicated to her alma mater. The luncheon was a wonderful time of fellowship for both donors and students.
