Baptist Presents Black Men in White Coats Event for Middle School, High School and College Students on April 9

Black Men In White Coats Summit Event

 

Baptist is helping to build more diversity in health care and providing students with the opportunity to explore careers in medicine through Black Men in White Coats: Building Diverse Health Care Professionals. Middle school, high school and college students interested in working in health care as a professional or in a support role may register to attend this free event.

Participants should be prepared to adhere to Tennessee’s COVID-19 event guidelines for this in-person event.

9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Dudley Building Auditorium on Baptist Health Sciences University campus, located at 20 S Dudley Street in Memphis

The deadline to register for this free event is Wednesday, April 6 at noon, but registration may close early based on limited space.

The Black Men in White Coats Video Series and mentoring program is designed to inspire middle school, high school and college students interested in pursuing health care careers.

Participants will have the opportunity to connect with professionals and take a guided tour of Baptist Health Sciences University (BHSU). This event will also include a boxed lunch and panel discussion with Baptist’s health care professionals and BHSU faculty, an introduction to the new BHSU HealthCORE community outreach and mentoring program, and information on future mentoring opportunities and community groups.
