Meet Lisa McMahon

Blue Healer Student Success Center Librarian 

Lisa McMahon holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Arkansas State University. McMahon’s recent position consisted of working at the public library in Arlington, TN where she assisted both children and adults.

Meet Rashari Mitchell

Surgical Technology Clinical Coordinator

 

Rashari Mitchell received a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Studies from the University of Memphis. Mitchell started a career as a Surgical Technologist in 2006, after graduating from the Tennessee Technology Center of Memphis with a diploma in Surgical Technology.

I am excited to embark on my new journey with BHSU. With this, I forward to engaging with my students while teaching them everything they need to know about the field of surgical technology. I am excited to motivate each one of my students as I get to witness them flourish in their new careers! – Rashari Mitchell

 

Meet Dana Wiley

Medical Laboratory Sciences Assistant Professor 

Dana Wiley earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of South Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Wiley’s professional background includes extensive work experience in microbiology, including virology, molecular genetics as well as molecular diagnostics. She has worked in a variety of laboratory settings, including a children’s hospital, a trauma center, a university teaching hospital, and a reference laboratory. 

Wiley has over a decade of experience working in IT/LIS where she held several positions throughout her employment with a laboratory software company. There, she gained experience as a software implementer, a product specialist, a technical support specialist, a software trainer, and a business analyst.

Wiley is a member of ASCP and ASCLS professional organizations. She currently holds a Chair position with the city of Memphis mayor’s office, Cordova Partnership Joint Agency, and is currently a 2022 graduate of the Memphis Police Department’s Citizens' Police Academy. 

In her spare time, she loves spending time with family, friends, her pups, TobyJack, and Mr. Beaux Jangles ("Beaux"). She enjoys painting camping, gardening, exploring new restaurants, attending live music events & concerts, true crime documentaries, and browsing through antique stores for special, little treasures. Occasionally, she likes to study etymology, scientific history, and Krav Maga.

I am so excited to be a part of BHSU and work with Dr. Darius Wilson teaching our students about Medical Laboratory Science. I love my profession and look forward to sending new MLS's into the workforce. -Dana Wiley

 

Meet Ashley Craigen

Admissions Secretary 

Helping to support the Admissions Team, Ashley Craigen is the newest Admissions Secretary. In her spare time, Craigen enjoys traveling and health fitness. She believes that harnessing the power of technology can help to accelerate progress in health care and solve the world's most difficult health challenges.

Meet Theba Jamison

PBI Competitive Grant Academic Success Coach 

Theba Jamison holds a Master of Science in Education from Union University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Rust College. Jamison has previously worked with the Memphis-Shelby County School District. 

I know she will be applying her 14 years of experience in Education to her Academic Success Coach position. – Mary Margaret Freeman

 

Meet Hannanh Rencher

Admissions Officer 

As the newest Admissions Officer, Hannanh Rencher will be recruiting in community colleges and for all programs. Rencher earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arkansas State University. She recently married and relocated from Paragould, Alaska to Byhalia, Mississippi. Her primary focus will be on inquiries and applicants in the majority of Allied Health programs' systems.
