A sequence of study for the diploma or associate degree nurse is available to qualified applicants who wish to pursue the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Applying to the RN-BSN Program
RN-BSN students will be admitted to Baptist University and the professional program simultaneously upon successful completion of the following criteria:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Submit transcripts from all colleges attended.
- Earn a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for all college work from regionally accredited colleges or universities. RN-BSN applicants must be in good standing and eligible to return to institutions previously attended.
- Hold an active, unencumbered RN license or be eligible to apply for licensure as a registered nurse.
- Comply with citizenship/residency requirement for all applicants.
(Applicants must either be a United States citizen or a Permanent Resident. Applicants whose native tongue is not English will be required to submit, as part of their admission requirement, a TOEFL score of 550 or above.)
Fall Admission Deadlines
March 1st: Priority admissions deadline.
June 1st: Final admissions deadline. Applicants who meet the admissions criteria by June 1st will be considered for admission based on available openings.
Spring Admission Deadlines
September 1st: Priority admissions deadline.
October 15th: Final admissions deadline. Applicants who meet the admissions criteria by October 15th will be considered for admission based on available openings.
Summer Admission Deadlines
March 15th: Final admissions deadline. Applicants who meet the admissions criteria by March 15th will be considered for admission based on available openings.
Upon acceptance to Baptist University, the applicant must
- Submit a $100 enrollment deposit.
- Submit a background check. Licensed professionals currently employed in their field will not be required to have an additional background check.
- Participate in College orientation.
