Diagnostic Medical Sonography Bachelor Degree
The baccalaureate curriculum requirements include a strong science foundation with courses specific to the practice of diagnostic medical sonography. The sonography and clinical practicum courses are designed to prepare the student’s knowledge base to perform sonographic examinations as an entry-level sonographer.
Students are encouraged to follow a specific curriculum plan to ensure progressive learning throughout the degree. Specific courses are required to be completed in sequential order to enhance the student's learning and success within the program. The sonography and clinical practicum courses encompass seven consecutive trimesters.
While enrolled in sonography courses, students will receive in-class instruction, online instruction, laboratory experience, and clinical practicum experience. Students may be required to participate in sonography courses up to 40 hours per week.
